Mark chapter four. Have you ever thought where the majority of your theology comes from?

It's funny because there's things that I've learned over the years, things that I just knew that I knew,

but actually learn from different people that I'm not sure I should have always trusted or even things like

little songs. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the old children's tune, this little light of mine,

remember that? And, you know, hide it under a bushel, oh no, I'm going to let it shine.

But actually, did you know that's actually kind of biblically out of context?

Brett, oh, la-tida, like tear apart a children's song.

No, but it is funny how you kind of, you read a scripture and automatically you say, oh, well, I know what that's about.

It's hiding my light and I don't want my light to be hit under a bushel.

So no, you know.

Or even, you know, some artists, music.

It's amazing to me how people get their doctrine from music.

And a lot of people, they think, oh, it doesn't matter, you know,

you can listen to whatever worship leader or worships church or, you know, movement.

And I'd say, be careful with that one. There's some kind of loony tune doctrines out there.

You know, the reckless love of God. You know, like that was one of the big love. Oh, I love tears and everything.

Oh, the reckless love. And that's, I'm telling you, it's just doctrinally

wacko. Um, reckless is a, it's a mistake. Being reckless is bad. Um, and reckless means that

you're willing to do stuff, um, that might, you know, hurt other things and stuff like that.

It's just a bad description of the love of God. His love is perfect,

not reckless. And I understand what the artist is trying to do, but as a Bible teacher,

which, by the way, who should you listen to more, the Bible or some worship leader who wrote a song?
