We're in Matthew, pardon me, Mark, Mark, chapter 13,

Mark chapter 13.

I was in my mind thinking about, you know, Matthew 24 and 25

is the Olivet discourse, Mark chapter 13 is the Olivet discourse,

and Luke 21 is the Olivet discourse. All three of those

Gospels give us the answer that Jesus gave, the longest answer he ever gave to any question

written in the Bible. All the other answers he gives to questions are usually fairly short and sweet.

You can, you know, speak them in

maybe 10 seconds for the most part. But this one is a long answer because it's important, I think.

And Matthew gives the two huge chapters. Matthew 24 and 25 is the fullest account of that.

And so tonight, I'm not going to try to exhaustively, you know,

teach through the Olivet discourse as much as I want to look at the way Mark puts it

and kind of look at his account.

If you're looking for the kind of the deeper, you know,

four-week study of the Olivet discourse,

we did that in Matthew 24 and 25. But, you know, Jesus a week study of the Olivet discourse. We did that in Matthew 24 and 25.

But, you know, Jesus, when he speaks this long on a single topic,

it strikes me as emphasis.

Jesus put an emphasis on the last days, the end times,

the tribulation period, the abomination of desolation, all those things,

Jesus puts an exclamation point here for us

as he answers the disciples' questions.
