Well, let's get to it, John Chapter 10.

We have some work to do tonight as it's a packed chapter.

You really could spend weeks studying John Chapter 10, but I'm going to try to do it tonight.

John Chapter 10.

This is where we've already done some work here on the weekend as we've been going through the great I am statements.

We had, of course, the I am the good shepherd and I am the door.

Both are tucked away in this chapter as it is the chapter of the shepherd, Jesus, the good shepherd.

So we'll see that. Last week in chapter nine,

we saw Jesus, of course, rejected by the Pharisees, the chief priest, the scribes, and even the

blind man, the poor blind man that was healed, they ended up booting him out of the synagogue,

out of the temple. He has no longer able to go and worship.

He was excommunicated because he was a believer in Jesus, which is really something that they would,

they wanted to kill him, actually, which is kind of interesting.

But, you know, Jesus is now, no doubt, coming and going in and out of Jerusalem as he's doing his

ministry there. And have you ever wondered what is the gate that Jesus would be going in and out

of the most? It was most likely, as he was staying in Bethany, we saw that last week, he would

come over the Mount of Olives,

and you wouldn't necessarily go through the East Gate, because that was a whole different story,

kind of a, and it's closed up today. But he would go through the sheep gate, and that's the modern-day

sheep gate that's behind me in the picture today.

If you go directly below this, archaeologically, you'll find the remains of the ancient

sheep gate that Jesus actually would have gone through.
