We began our through the Bible study last Sunday.

And it's kind of exciting as we dive into the more of this chapter, chapter one.

As I mentioned on Sunday, this chapter is John goes out of the gates just giant.

So deep, so powerful, hard to get our brains around what John's going to be talking about here.

But I think it's important that we really take our time, especially with John Chapter 1,

because he's talking about all these heavy things that are going to set the stage for the rest of the gospel.

So we need to have a pretty good handle on chapter one, I think,

before we proceed. So we're going to be careful on this beginning, pretty important.

But the thing I love about the book of John is it really points to Jesus. And it's really,

and of course it's a gospel, but in kind of a unique way.

The other gospels handle the whole thing a little differently.

And I think there's a lot of people that find the Gospel of John.

If you ask people, what's your favorite of the four Gospels?

If you can even ask such a question, most of the time you'll hear people say the Gospel of John, and it's just the way

it's presented. The love of Christ is seen there, the power of Christ, who he is, and what have you.

I love the story. A young boy was walking home on a country road, you know know kind of like the Andy Griffith kind of

little graphic griff kind of like a little kid barefoot overalls with his little fishing

rise walking down the road well a businessman comes zooming in you know in his big fancy car

he says he says do you do you know do you know where we are he says the little kid he says no don't know he says well do you know where we are? He says, the little kid, he says, no, don't know.

He says, well, do you know the way to Brighton?

He says, I don't know.

Shugged his shoulders.
