It is our prayer that through God's truth, you will find all you need. Prayers are very revealing things.

In fact, I said to a group of married couples recently,

you should pray together, and both of you should pray aloud,

and both of you should listen to your spouse pray,

because nothing reveals the heart quite like prayer.

Prayer is spirit level communication.

Maybe we should use a different word than communication.

It's communion.

It is the deepest level of interaction because it's the heart's interaction with Almighty

God.

And you can tell a great deal about what is meaningful to a person, by what they ask for.

Now, let me give this a caveat, and it is this, instead of just listening to other people's

prayers, listen to your own.

You know, it's easy to listen to somebody else's prayer and find fault in their prayer,

but that in itself reveals the heart of the hypocrite in us. Instead, we should be paying

attention to what we are asking God for, because our prayers so often reveal that they are

centered on fleshly things and worldly desires and temporal interest instead of spiritual realities.

We've come in our study of Psalm 119 to the section that begins with verse 33.

Now it is eight verses long, of course, as all the sections are.

It goes from verse 33 down to verse number 40,
