Two people are having a conversation.

You must take your family out to the country sometime.

It's quite peaceful.

Maybe next summer.

By the way, the opening party for Jerry's new business is in two weeks.

You and Michael must come.

Well, I don't know. We're a bit busy these days.

I'll check my schedule and get back to you.

In this dialogue, this character says you must take your family out to the country sometime.

By saying must, followed by a verb phrase using the base form of the verb, take, they are making a strong suggestion to the other character.

The speaker is not involved in the action, so it's not an invitation to do things together,

but it is a strong recommendation to the listener.

Then, the other character responds with,

The opening party is in two weeks.

You and Michael must come. Again, must is followed

by the base verb come. Because this is something both the listener and the speaker would

participate in, this strong suggestion is also an invitation to do something. Must always
