So tonight we're going to be talking about Torpor Games, Susiran, which is a political, visual novel, but also, would argue a strategy game, but it's a lot of

things. It's a bit hard to sort out. Sin, you are a self-described curator of the weird.

I am curious what grabbed your attention about Souseraine, and is it sufficiently weird for your purposes?

Yeah, I think it absolutely is first of all. And when I say weird, I don't necessarily mean

just bizarre, just mean unusual in the case of Souserang because in a lot of ways it's quite

conventional. You, when you see Souserang and you kind of look around it screenshots or just play it for a minute or two,

you've probably got roughly a good idea of what you're getting,

like a quite serious, in-depth political simulator,

which it is, but it's also unlike most other political simulators.

And the main reason for that, I'm sure we can talk about lots of the reasons it's interesting unlike most other political simulators. And the main reason for that,

but the main reason is that it goes all in on narrative

in a way that most political simulators don't.

So, like Rob, you're absolutely right.

You say it's a strategy game, it's a bit of a sim and its narrative.

You could fuck you.

It's a bit of a role-playing game as well.

And that, in that sense, it's definitely weird.

It's an outlier of its genre, whatever genre you categorize it into.
