So today, I think we are gathering in the court of the Lord to discuss our plots and our machinations to conquer Europe or other parts of the world as well in Crusader Kings 3.

TJ, I am, let's start at the top. We both had a chance to play a pretty extensive hands-on build of the game.

I think the first thing that I would ask you is

what was left to be done with Crusader Kings, right?

Because like when they announced this, this was one of the first

questions asked in, I think, all the sessions they did showing the game. I think it was something

they've had to be on defense about since the jump, which is that Crusader Kings too became a really

big game. Right. There is a ton of content in that thing at this point. I think you memorably

described it as professionally modded at this stage of its life, which it very much is.

So, but that also implies, like, the thing that people do not like is losing content when they go to a sequel.

And often that's necessarily part of the bargain.

Right.

What was the mission briefing for Crusader Kings 3 in your eyes as a fan of Crusader

Kings 2?

Yeah.

I think that sort of the attack that they've taken, which is probably pretty close to what

I would have set out to do, you know, if I

had been in charge of it from the beginning, is take the things that were core to Crusader

Kings that really worked on like a fundamental level about Crusader Kings to and make those

better first and then, you know, expand on other stuff, you know, after that.
