Summary

WARNING: The Banner Saga 2 is a story-driven game. Certain plot points will be talked about. Major plot points from the first game are discussed. Such is life in a podcast where the point is to talk about what happens in video games. This week Rob Zacny and Fraser Brown talk about Banner Saga 2, the sequel to the Kickstarter darling that made a splash with its gorgeous graphics and brutal gameplay. The decisions are harder, the battles are more interesting, and lots of people still die.

game and improved a lot of the issues that I had with it as well. There were certain mechanics

that I think, while not ruining the game by any means, definitely made it a little bit frustrating,

1:07.5

certainly in the caravan part of the game where you're not fighting the tactical

battles but actually managing your group of survivors. There's like a renowned mechanic

1:17.4

and a food mechanic that started off quite interestingly but kind of devolved into a bit

1:23.6

of a mess by the end of the game and actually just ended up being kind of annoying in getting in the way of things.

1:29.3

That isn't the case in Banner Saga 2.

1:32.3

And a lot of the changes are really quite small, but they have this massive impact.
