You also did get this podcast started and then fade away while I've continued on in the East. Oh, my God. It just gets to see this metaphor. I just fall in love with it. The more I talk about it. Let's go with this for the entire show.

So tonight we are going to be talking about Total War Attila.

And I should say at the start, a lot of people asked us to look at Rome 2 again since it came out.

Sadly, I just didn't end up putting time into the Emperor edition.

So another conversation about the final, the final, final state of Rome 2, we'll have to wait

for another day. This is just a chance to look at what I think turns out to be a really,

really interesting total war game. Not even expansion, but perhaps the standaloniest of the standalones that Creative Assembly have made over the years.

So, Troy, why don't you set the stage for us a little bit here? I would say that I expected something along the lines of barbarian invasion, but I ended up with something more.

Yeah, I think a barbarian invasion is, you know, the nicest analog for people who don't remember.

Barbarian invasion was the first, I guess, big expansion.

It was the only expansion.

We don't talk about the Alexander expansion.

We don't know. Alexander was kind of a standalone thing. We don't talk about the Alexander expansion. We don't go to...

Barbarian invasion was the fall of the Roman Empire expansion for the first Rome total war.

And it followed pretty much in the same lines as Rome Total War, which I liked very much.

It was at the time my favorite of the Total War Games.

And this is, you know, really, you expect this.
