Really glad you're with us for the Wednesday edition of the Three Martini Lunch.

We have three martinis today.

The first one's going to take up a huge chunk of the podcast today,

and I'm guessing you already know which one it is. Jim, let's dive right into it. We got that

Easter morning tweet about Tuesday is going to be bridge and power plant day and a lot of

expletives that the president got a lot of grief for. Then yesterday, he sent out the tweet,

a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I didn't want that to

happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have complete and total regime change,

where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something

revolutionarily wonderful can happen. Who knows? Well, 8 p.m. Eastern Time was the

deadline last night. And a little bit before 8 p.m. Eastern Time, we got another much longer post

from the president saying, based on conversations with the prime minister and field marshal of

Pakistan and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to

Iran and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to complete, immediate, and safe opening

of the Strait of Hormuz.

I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks.

This will be a double-sided ceasefire.

The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all military objectives

and are very far along with a definitive agreement concerning long-term peace with Iran and peace
