Really glad you're with us for the Monday edition of the three martini lunch.

And Jim, this time you weren't on vacation when the United States and Israel go after Iran,

midnight hammer last June today, and this weekend it's Operation Epic Fury.

Could last several days, could last a few weeks depending on how things go.

But this unleashed in the early morning hours over there on Saturday, just after midnight Saturday,

Eastern time. And apparently the Iranian leadership thought that we wouldn't attack in broad daylight.

They were dead wrong, literally. And so Ali Khamini is dead, the Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah,

many other military and intelligence and key political leaders are

dead. It's interesting to watch their bios. They've had this position since 2025. Oh, I wonder what

happened to the last guy that had that position in 2025. And somehow we got Makbudak Medejad

at the same time here as well.

And so within 24 hours, clear air superiority over certainly Tehran, but I think pretty much

most of the country, many of the Iranian people in the streets.

We will get to the Iranian response and what the challenges are coming up.

But in terms, Jim, so far, of execution of this mission, it seems, tactically,

it's gone about as well as it can go.

Secretary of Defense, Pete Hagsif, is a controversial figure.

You can point to things that, like the signal conversation about the strikes on the Houthis.
