It only works in Hillsdale. Sorry. Yes, exactly. Well, let's get to our first martini. This is good in the sense that it's being covered, bad in the sense that this fraud is going on. But given what we've seen in Minnesota and other states, I don't think anybody's too shocked by it. people who carefully follow government programs in California, say if you think Minnesota is bad, obviously a much bigger state, spending a lot more money in California. This is going to be happening. And actually, Dr. Oz said a few weeks ago, now, I think it's late January, that there was major hospice fraud going on in California, specifically Southern California,

specifically L.A. County. And that's exactly what CBS was following up on. Correspondent Adam Yamaguchi

filed a more formal report for CBS Evening News. This was his online report, at least part of it,

as he explains the story of a woman who was supposedly on hospice, but is obviously very, very healthy, kind of the tip of the spear of this problem.

The government thinks this woman is dying in hospice care,

but she just humiliated me, schooled me on the pickleball court.

She's definitely not dying.

She is a victim, though, of hospice fraud.

So hospice fraud costs taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars every year. And California is

ground zero. So basically, people steal Medicare numbers. They enroll them in hospices and then bill

for tens, sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars. A lot of these companies are

just fronts. So over 700 of the roughly 1,800 hospices in L.A. County triggered multiple red flags
