Hey, really glad you're with us for the Monday edition of the three martini lunch.

So much to get to today, including Iran, including what's happening with the redistricting fight in Virginia,

including Jesse Jackson's son rebuking the three presidents who spoke at that very long funeral on Friday.

But Jim, we start in New York City.

It was already a pretty lousy week for Mayor Zoran Mamdani.

His wife was under fire for liking a bunch of posts that were pretty positive towards the 10-7 Hamas attacks against Israel.

He tried to dismiss it by saying the First Lady of New York City is not a public figure.

But now there's another story that has erupted over the weekend, which has Mamdani obviously playing favorites here and not in a way that is going to make New York City safer.

So there was this protest over the weekend led by this guy named Jake Lang.

Mbani describes him as a white supremacist.

I don't know who Jake Lang is, whether he's a white supremacist or not.

He organized this protest outside of Gracie Mansion. And then there was a counter protest to this guy who was apparently driving around basically in a U-Haul truck with a bullhorn, which is obviously annoying. But anyway, these people show up and an IED shows up here. And so it did not go off, but it was lit. It was deployed. And there's a

whole lot to talk about here. First of all, Mumdani's tweet, a lot of detail on the guy in the

original protest, not a lot of detail on the people responsible for trying to kill a bunch of

people. He says, this is yesterday. Yesterday, meaning Saturday, white supremacist Jake Lang,

organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion, rooted in bigotry and racism. Such hate has no

place in New York City. It is an affront to our city's values and the unity that defines who we are.
