Thanks to all of our wonderful guest hosts last

week and to the commenters who asked which war zone Jim went to this time, I'm happy to say

he didn't unless he considers whatever beach he went to for actual vacation to be a war zone,

which I doubt. South Carolina, you know, right around Hilton Head, spending time with my family.

We actually all get along really well.

So that wasn't a war zone in its own way either.

So no, it was great to get away.

And I know people are used to it being, you know, Zimbabwe or some really far off corner.

Someone did invite me to Sudan recently. And there was a part of me that was tempted, but it was not with my usual guys. And one of those things were like, you know, I, there is like this little thing called, you know, like home life that I have to be here for every now and then. So I would like to return home successfully. Yeah. That's kind of an important part of it. But yes, I think the the only thing close to warfare there is the Republican gubernatorial primary in South Carolina.

That's going to get pretty frosty as time goes on.

But Jim, whenever we're talking about the U.S. military, the list of superlative adjectives that you can use to describe how amazing they are is almost inexhaustible. But the story

we got this time is not about how precise our airstrikes were or how much we've devastated Iran.

It's about the amazing rescue operation for these two crew members from an F-15E strike eagle,

which got shot down on Friday.

There's some concern about how it got shot down because it did not show up on radar,

and so we need to be aware of that technology.
