Coming up on Saturday, high noon here in the east, 11 a.m. in Lubbock. It's West Virginia

against the Red Raiders of Texas Tech. It's separation Saturday. How many shootout references,

how many Old West shootout Texas plane references can you get in?

When you head out to West Texas and you got a gunslinger of a quarterback by the name of

Alan Bowman, who currently is leading the Big 12, he's the understudy, he's a freshman, and

in comes the season sizzled senior Will Greer, and there's going to be a showdown in Lubbock. Separation Saturday is a good one, though. That's a really good one. I know we'll get to big, too early for that. We'll get to big 12 games. We'll get to big 12 games later. I don't think so. I think he's right on the money with separation Saturday. I think you could make the maybe not separation in the sense of the teams, but in the quarterbacks.

Like Bowman's getting a lot of love right now. People say, this guy's a phenom. This guy's a phenom. I mean, let's say. Let me ask you this. Who do you want, Bowman or Greer? Which guy do you want? Well, I'd lean towards seven. Yeah, but here's the thing. You listen to stuff coming out of Texas Tech right now, and they're asking, and I know why they're doing this, but they're asking, is Texas Tech for real? Is Texas Tech a big 12 title contender? So right now in this league, as we thought, this league's got a lot of holes in it right now. So there's a lot of people that think they can win this Big 12, a lot of teams. So separation Saturday starts. West Virginia wins at Lubbock. All right, that's good. Set Texas TechSout. They're out. They can't win the Big 12. If you're West Virginia go there and go, listen, hey, good run. Well, that's what you do. Good luck the rest of the year. But now the people are playing for the championship are going to continue to play. So for his separation theory, you beat Texas Tech. Texas Tech's now out of the Big 12 mix. Get out of the way. Step aside. West Virginia continues on. If you're elite, you go in and you win this game. Well, I think. I'm with Kariti for once. Well, I think what Hoppe doesn't realize is that the league motto is every game counts. Oh, that's, is that their motto? we can make it. Every game counts. I mean, it does.

And this league more than any other league because everyone does play everyone. If you're not moving ahead, you're moving backwards. Yeah, that's right. So this is another chance to advance closer to the Big 12 championship game if you're West Virginia. Of course it is. It's another game. What else else would be? Well, if it was Kansas, it wouldn't be separation Saturday because you'd expect to be,

you don't even get Kansas move on. If it was Kansas, we wouldn't even do the show. But this is a ranked team in Texas Tech, right? A ranked team. They come in off of winning in Stillwater for the first time in 17 years are what it is. They're excited. They've come back from the dead after they

yacked it up to Ole Miss to start the season.

So they've got a little life down there and love it. So if this is Separation Saturday, what are you going to call it when you play, oh, TCU or Oklahoma? Separation. What about TCU? What are you going to call it? Separation Saturday. Championship Saturday. You can use it. You can use it again.

You can use it multiple times.

I mean, you can use separation.
