Sometimes it's not our works that get us salvation but us trusting in Jesus Christ and being born again. Sermon Notes: Chair 1 - Nicodemus - Religious Man (John 3:1-2) Nicodemus was a ruler, religious and right about Jesus, yet Jesus told him “UNLESS ONE IS BORN AGAIN, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM” Salvation is not just a ticket to heaven but a birth into a new kingdom. Religion may make you feel safe, but it doesn't make you saved. Religion gives you rules, Jesus gives you power. You can be in the airport, but still miss your flight. Just like you can be in church, but not be in Christ. Chair 2 - Cornelius - Devout Man (Acts 10:1-2) Cornelius feared God, prayed always, gave alms generously, fasted, yet the angel of God told him to call Peter so that he can hear about salvation. Chair 3 - Zacchaeus - Short Man (Luke 19:1-4) Zacchaeus was rich, sinner, short, could not see Jesus, but when climbed on the tree (symbol of the cross), Jesus saw him, called him by name and went to his house. Jesus does not bring behavior modification, but a heart transformation. 0:09.9	John chapter 3, verse 1 and 2 says the following.
0:13.7	There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
0:19.6	This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you're a teacher came from God.
0:26.0	For no one can do these miracles that you do unless God is with him. And Jesus answered and said to him, most assuredly I say to you,
0:34.2	because you are religious leader and because you're the ruler of the synagogue and doing all of these things you are born again and that's not what your Bible says your Bible says most assured I say to you unless one is born again not bored again but born again not Jason born again thing like born again. He cannot see the kingdom of God.
0:58.5	And I will short-cutter because Nicodemus was a smart guy. He replies back the same thing that everybody,
1:04.7	everybody who has a head on their shoulders will respond back to God. How can I, being an adult, be born again? And Jesus rebukes Nicodemus and says,
1:15.0	you're a religious leader, you're a guy who went to college for this. You're supposed to know this.
1:20.0	And he tells him, unless you're born of water, which is physical birth, or the spirit, which is
1:24.3	spiritual birth, he says, you cannot see the kingdom of heaven what i want to
1:28.9	underline to you about the first man or the first chair nicodemus is nicodemus was a ruler he had a position
1:35.8	in the society he had a position in the religious circle secondly nicademus was religious
1:41.6	nicademus was not ungodly nicodemus was not a hidden nicodemus was religious. Nicodemus was not ungodly. Nicodemus was not a hidden. Nicodemus was not unchurched.
1:49.8	Nicodemus visited synagogue. He went to the temple regularly. Nicodemus is religious. And Nicodemus was right about Jesus.
1:59.0	Meaning he had a very good view of right view about Jesus,
2:03.8	that Jesus was from God, and the miracles Jesus did were from God.
2:08.1	That was way better than any Pharisee, Sadracy, or any other person had about Jesus,
2:13.6	who a question Jesus said he was from the devil, cast out demons from the devil's power,
2:18.3	and Nicodemus had a right idea about God.
2:21.3	He is religious and he is a ruler.
