As some know I've taken off a few weeks to be with family and I'm totally grateful for

the time and chose a three part series to share with you from the archives that I've always

loved.

It's a story based on the story of Nachikata which comes from the Upanishads and this

is the third of the series and of course if you missed the first or second they're available

to you on my website and on my podcast.

So in this talk we explore Nachikata's final gift, it was the mirror and how each of us

can really look deeply into who we are, into our own true nature.

There's a story in which there's a shipwreck and a three men end up being stranded on a desert

island and they manage to keep themselves alive for a couple of weeks but it's getting

really tough but their good fortune was they find one of those lamps that has a genie

that comes out and says well each one of you gets a wish.

So the first one says I want to see my wife and children and I want to be back home.

Vouch, he vanishes.

One says oh me too my dog, my work, send me back.
