Islamistled Syrian rebels have lit a fire, which now seems to be spreading throughout the country.

The main rebel offensive continues to be north-south,

and their lightning advance begun this week has so far led to the capture of Aleppo, hammer, with the rebels now reported

to be just kilometres away from the country's third biggest city hamps. This is the sound of a

convoy of rebel forces driving through Tirmeala

just to the north of the city.

Elsewhere Kurdish-led forces say they've taken the city of Derazoa, the government's main

foothold, in the east of the country,

while in the southwest in the town of Swerda, there have been clashes between Drew's militia and the security forces,

and reports of violence in the town of Dura.

Government forces have so far offered little or no resistance.

Tens of thousands of people have been fleeing Homs.
