I am Connor O'Gara. Will, Christmas came late for you, not just Mathouse, but all of LSU's on field defensive

staff got canned.

That had to be the best possible news that you could have gotten over this this

holiday season. Yes, I was I was fired up and I mean you know hate to see guy like Robert Steeples go. I think he was a really young coach getting his feet under him and he was kind of left holding the bag for some older guys, but everybody else get out of here. I think, you know, it's funny because I was thinking about, you know, I like to kind of look in the mirror and see it's like you know it's like do I you know make everything about LSU it's like well if you think about it LSU has the best offense in the conference and the worst defense and they're replacing two coordinators.

So it really can't be weirder than that.

And so yeah, I mean the way that, but I will say this,

I won't spend too much time on it,

like Brian Kelly, the professionalism and the surgical, like kind of methodology he used here we kind of

of waited for you know the portal of clue clothes early signing day was

like no hitches and then it was just one big red wedding ever watch throne just everybody dead the whole head of the snake is gone but start over and like that's so refreshing to me because and LSU fans stayed confused about this including myself because we had been gas that into thinking he was coming back but

obviously Brian Kelly knows what he's doing and knows that you're not just going to say hey I'm

going to fire this guy right before early signing period so yeah after it happened the name's

getting leaked it's like oh wow there was a plan in place for months.

And obviously Brian Kelly was not going to come out and leak it like we used to.

Okay, the names that I initially saw from Matt Moskona, who Matt was going to this great work covering all things at LSU and he's a great follow on Twitter and somebody that's really insightful on these.

When I first saw that initial list that included the likes of D.J. Durkin and Bob Diaco, I was like, oh God God this is this is going to be Bo Pelini all over again and then

Braden Marcello was the one who reported and we don't know as of this recording by the way on

Thursday afternoon what the final decision what the verdict is going to be to replace

Matt House as LSU defensive coordinator but Brandon Marcelle reported that Blake Baker the

Missouri defensive coordinator that we've said very good things about the former LSU assistant as well could is expected to be the target for LSU t. B. D. on if that is going to be official maybe by time before listening to this, that's official, but God, that would be a massive, massive upgrade.

And I'll just go on record and say, and we're not going to spend the entire pod talking about this a lot of things to get to today.
