Once again, before we talk about this set of verses in particular,

I want to contextualize both where you find them in the Quran

and also the period of revelation of these verses because it changes the understanding

and the richness of these verses greatly. If you are reading through the Quran, if you are

reading through the Mushaf, you come across three suras in succession, Sura of Muminun, Suraa and Suraalurta al-Furta-Nurinan. The beginning of

Surae ammun are ten qualities, broad categories, where Allaheufelahminae

where Allah, Svhannaeim Khashi'u, where Allah, Svhanu'enu'en who in the Salatim Chashearun,

where Allah,

Siphanu T'a'aara takes us through a journey of the qualities that are required of the believers, and they are very similar to the end of Surat al-Furqan, where we will be with the qualities of iBadurham, the servants of the most merciful. So if you were to read the first ten verses of Surat al-Muominun and then read the end of

Surat al-Furqan, you'll see much that ties the two things together.

The focus, the emphasis on Surat al-Muominun, there's a slight subtle difference that some of the

Ullama of Tafsir mentioned, that the internal is

covered more in Surat al-Mu-Muhmino, the external is covered more in the end of Surat al-Furqan.

And you'll appreciate why that subtlety exists, inshallah, ta'a, about 30 minutes into this

lecture. But just for you to remember from now, there is a slightly greater emphasis in the beginning of Suryat al-Mu-Mu-Mu-Noon on the internal programming of the believer, whereas there is a slightly greater emphasis in the end of Suryat al-Furqan on the external behavior of the believer. And that subtlety will become important, in Shia-L-Ta-Alan, as we venture through these ayat. Sandwiched between Surt al-Muhmino and Shurulth is what Sura?
