Good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday mornings. We have two services,

the first of which we devote to Bible prophecy. And our second service is our verse by verse study

through the Word of God. And we find ourselves today in the book of Titus. And our text today will be

chapter 3, verses 8 through 11. We're almost done with the chapter and as such

the book, but not quite. So we're looking forward to what the Lord has for us. Why don't we stand

if you're able? Those of you that are here, you can follow along as I read. And those of you

online can follow along as well. Beginning in verse 8, Titus 3, the Apostle Paul is writing by the Holy Spirit to Titus, a pastor of a church in Crete at the time.

And he says, this is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.

These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law because these are unprofitable and useless.

Warn, verse 10, a divisive person wants, and then warn them a second time.

and keep it and hold it. That's not up to me. That's the Holy Spirit. And as you do, Lord, we with great anticipation

look forward to what it is that you have for us in this text that's before us. So Lord speak, we pray. Your servants are listening. In Jesus' name. Amen.
