This is a special state of the union, my good friend and former teammate, Thomas Dooley, is

joining us here on the State of the Union.

You may remember Thomas Dooley for everything that he did from a U.S. national team perspective.

Started out in Germany. Germany played for a bunch of different teams, had incredible success,

then came over, played for the United States in the 1994 World Cup and the 1998 World Cup,

continued on and played for the Columbus crew in at Major League Soccer and for the Metro

Stars in Major League Soccer, is a member of the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame and is now a new author. So we'll talk to him about

a bunch of things, including his new book, a look back at his pathway to the national team and

to America and how he sees youth development, if you will, whether it's here or abroad. So a lot of

different things discussed with Thomas

Dooley. All right, as promised, the great Thomas Dooley joins us here on the State of the Union.

The man has had an incredible, well, not just career, but life. And he comes to us from over there

in the Philippines.

As you heard in my open, he has played multiple places, obviously over in Germany,

here in Major League Soccer, jumped on the scene from a U.S. perspective for a lot of the people that are listening in 1992 and then starred with us in the 1994 World Cup and also the 1998 World Cup.
