I'm not Tom Hartman, I'm Jeffson Jefferson Smith it is a pleasure to be with you again this morning

Tom right now is at a conference we'll be talking about that this morning

but also want to talk to you because it is anything goes Friday.

The first time I had the honor of joining you, we asked the question, what is the big lie?

Gerbles and Hitler taught and explained and recommended that the lie be big enough and

repeated enough and if it was big enough and repeat enough people would believe it.

And we asked you what was your impression of right now what was the big lie?

Not just the Sarah Huckabee Sanders explanation of the day, not just the Donald Trump

of the week or the moment but what are the big

persistent every day over 40 years

misconceptions and misstatements that are clouding our judgment and clouding our democracy.

The next time I had the honor and privilege of joining you, we asked, what's the big why? Why are we doing this? I want to start out by saying

thank you to Sean and Nate and Arthur, the people who put on this show who

helped make it possible, who helped make it possible for me to sit in this chair for this morning.

And to you who listen, because you listen, this is not just, I recognize that it's not just an entertainment

exercise, this is something that is building a community where people are getting

together to figure out how can democracy work. Will it continue to go forward? Is

this merely the end of the American Empire or is there also a moment here
