The scripture is Luke chapter 2 verse 13 and 14,

and they say this, suddenly the angel was joined by a vast host of

others the armies of heaven praising God and saying glory to God in the highest

heaven and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.

The devotional says this, the angels sang because the everlasting father had come to extend

arms of redeeming grace to all who would give their hearts

to him.
