Hey friend this podcast can help you connect the gospel to your work but I would argue the only Christian

community can truly help you apply the gospel to your work. Let me explain why. When I write a book like the

sacredness of secular work or I record a new episode of this show, I'm creating

that content for all mere Christians, whether you're an entrepreneur or a

barista or a manager in a large company, whatever.

And given how broad my audience is, my content can only get so practical

It can help you make a mental connection between a biblical truth and your job for example

Okay, yeah great. I'm called to value others above myself

including my coworkers but can only go so far in helping you with application because if you're

a manager of a team for example you're gonna have very different questions than a

barista about how to apply specific biblical truths questions like like, all right, does value in others

above myself mean that I only advocate for raises for my team and not me? Or what do I

need to change about the way I use email so I can better serve my team members or how do I Sabbath in a way that creates rest not just for myself

But also for my colleagues? Hey, there's no one-size-fits-all answers to those

questions. Answering them, answering them well at least, requires gospel-centered

discernment in a community of other mere Christians who,

number one, already get that their work matters to God. They're beyond the basics of

faith and work. Two, they're asking deeper questions about how to apply

the gospel to their vocation and number three, they're people who can help you

answer similar questions because they share your career stage and role.

Friend, I don't know if you notice but community like that is really hard to find.
