This week marks the 584th death remembrance of Anne of Gloucester, Countess of Stafford, in 1438.

Here's a little information on Anne.

Anne was born on the 30th of April, 1383, to Thomas of Woodstock, First Duke of Gloucester, and Eleanor de Boen.

Her father was the youngest son of Edward III of England and Philippa of Hinalds.

And through her mother, she was also a descendant of Edward I of England.

Around 1390, Anne married Thomas Stafford, third Earl of Stafford.

However, he died after only two years of marriage, and they had no children. Around 1390, Anne married

Another sister had become a nun.

She was then recognized as Countess of Buckingham, Herford, and Northampton, but used the title Countess of Stafford only.

Edmund died in 1403 and Anne married for a third time to William Boucher, first count of U in 1405. Anne and William had five children to live to adulthood.

Anne died on the 16th of October 1438 at the age of 55. Her eldest son, Humphreys Stafford, then became the
