This is Mark and Patrick and we are here on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy

volume two.

We're chatting now with the movies executive producer Jonathan Schwartz.

Doing really well.

How are you doing? Good. Awesome. You it really well.

Good.

Awesome.

You just took us around. You showed us a lot of cool stuff.

Actually, the first thing I really wanted to talk about was something that we're just touching on, which was Quill's father's planet, which you were telling me it was based on, like the design of it was based on some

mathematician and like his like theory and everything? Yeah there was a

mathematician and artist named Hal Tenney who sort of put together these very

organic-looking Mandel-Barrat

set algorithms which created these really amazing designs and our production design

team led by Scott Shambliss sort of found Hal and sort of very organically crafted those designs and retained Hal to create

some of the foundation for what Quills Father's Planet is is going to look like and I think it

resulted in a really unique take and a lot of really unique structure for that

place which we see quite a bit of in the movie.

Yeah and one of the things that was so striking about the first movie was the

color palette of space.
