Associate producer Blake Garris joined by

intern Kristen Maldonado.

And we are Sans Ben Morse for the majority of this podcast because he's sick so Kristen's going to be

talking about some of the books this week along with Blake and myself I have been

traveling around the world, literally around the world for the past two weeks.

I've been to Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, I've been to Los Angeles on two separate occasions. I've been to Australia and I'm back here in New York

We'll get to some of that stuff later my brain's a little out of it, but everybody's been holding down the fort

Doing fun stuff lots of craziness, I assume has been going on in my absence.

And I think it's just time to dive right into the books for the week of August 22nd, 2012.

I guess I'll be starting us off with Amazing Spider-Man number 692.

This is the 50th anniversary issue for Amazing Spider-Man.

I'll get to the stories first, but in the back,

there's a little note, there's a missive in the book,

somewhere in this book, about 50 years ago,

all these things happened, 50 years ago the world's greatest

superhero was unleashed in the pages of amazing fantasy number 15 and it was cover

dated in August to the original spidey's first appearance probably hit the stands in June, but we're doing it in June because
