I'm from Joe Satriani. And as we've just discovered, I am from Long Island too.

Yeah. It's a wonderful bit of Kismet

talking about our shared beginnings on the island.

And for me, and I've talked about this

on a bunch of podcasts that I've been on and done and stuff.

It's like music was so important for me on Long Island. I was involved. I grew up in in the

90s and we had a very robust hardcore and punk rock music scene on Long Island at that point.

And that really like taught me business.

It taught me, you you know like how to do social networking how to

network in real life I actually learned about web design and all this other stuff just from those

those formative years so music in Long Island is so important. That's cool. Yeah. Yeah

it's funny that the era that I grew up in, you could still get into a bar at 18,

which meant at 16 I could pass to get in and to get gigs.

So I did a lot of playing in cover bands, playing blues and rock and cover bands all over the island. And as I said before, I wasn't going to mention the stories, but I did get in a lot of trouble all over the island. You mentioned a street, a highway, or whatever, and there's a story there

that shouldn't be told. But a great place to grow up. It was a vibrant scene for music. And boy, one of my neighbors was Steve I and little did I know it

John Petrucci was growing up a couple of miles away and there's quite a few

guitar players that came out of the island.
