Judge Juan Mershawn has fined Donald Trump

$9,000 for contempt of court in the case in Mershine's courtroom.

And he's threatening him with jail time.

And this is as good a launching point for the show today and for, as an example, an allegory

a representation of everything you need to know on a macro level

about America today. Let me explain. Let's deconstruct this case.

The judge does not want Donald Trump talking about the case outside the courtroom.

Now a lot of you get hung up on that you're not a lawyer.

I get emails every day. Michael, you're a lawyer. I have two

law degrees I don't practice anymore so I'm not really a lawyer. But you need to

understand you don't have to go to law school or even practice law to understand the basics of America's system. This is important to understand. You can't really and I can't

really understand brain surgery or heart transplants because we don't have the

training and the experience. But America's legal system is not designed only to be understood by officers of the court.

In the Catholic Church, there was a moment where there was a change in some

portions of it away from the idea that the service would be held in a language foreign to the congregants,

and that only, only the priest, the efficient, would be able to read the word of God.

And there are all sorts of changes and I don't need to hear from you that I got it all wrong or that you all feel is none of that matters to me. It doesn't mean everybody can

be happy or everybody can be and I don't care. But that happened and the idea for those

who broke away from that tradition was the word of God should be

accessible and and this is really what the reformation is about the idea that the word of God belongs to all of us

that we are all equal in God's eyes and that there aren't tears there There's not a strata within God's kingdom.
