We are back in the Thrive Bible today, so without further ado, George is going to take

Today's devotional is titled Great Joy, and we're reading it out of James 1 versus 2

3, and it says this, dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider

it an opportunity for great joy.

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

The love letter from God says, beloved child, the joy that comes from me is not just a feeling.

It is an experience that is so much more exhilarating than any emotion.

True happiness comes when you seek holiness.

The kind of joy that I give can't be destroyed by the trials this life brings.

My joy brings strength, is supernatural, and is yours for the asking.

If you've lost your joy, look at where you are, and then come back to me.

I will give you the joy you need to live with passion and strength.

I am happy when I see my child filled with my joy in celebrating the knowledge that they

are loved and forgiven.

Love your Heavenly Father.

The reflection says, joy is not just a feeling.

It is a supernatural, God-given gift of the Holy Spirit.
