Well, hello everyone. Welcome to another this month in Universal Orlando History, brought to you by the unofficial Universal Orlando podcast. It's January the 1st. Already! What a year! Am I right? I'm Tracy. Let's take a look at what happened this month in Universal Orlando History. On the very first day of the year in 2012, the Matt Hoffman-Agros circus

stunt show in the amphitheater inside Islands of Adventure closed. Now, I never saw the stunt show,

however, I did see Bill and Ted in there. That was pretty cool. It's a sad one next. It's a devastating

one next, to be quite honest. Back in January the 2nd, 2012, Universal Orlando

closed the Joes ride at Universal Studios, Florida, in preparation for bringing Diagonally to the resort.

I still don't know how I feel about this. There is not enough time for me to process.

The loss of my beloved Joes, but then it's Harry Potter.

Hmm.

Now, on the same day, over an island of adventure, Jurassic Parks Triceratops Encounter closed

back in 2012.

That was an attraction I wished I'd got to experience.

On January 3rd, 2003, Universal Orlando closed Alfred Hitchcock, The Art of Making Movies,

to make a way for Shrek 4D.

I mean, come on.

Another one, I missed that by, what, 18 months.

And I got Shrek.

I got Shrek, actually. Irek actually. I really did. I know the closure is up next.

More closures. The Beetlejuice Graveyard Review Show and Universal Studios Florida closed on

January 5th, 2016. That was in preparation for an attraction that is neither fast,

no furious. Speaking of an attraction that closed for that,

back in January the 17th, 2008, disaster, a major motion picture starring you opened.

And January 19th, 2001, Universal Orlando opened its second on-site hotel with a hard rock
