Summary

In the US, around one in every 200 people are incarcerated. But out of the staggering 1.9 million felons in the prison system, only 3% ever manage to break out - and most of those are from low security facilities. However, in Japan, a prisoner named Yoshie Shiratori became infamous for escaping maximum-security incarceration not once, not twice, but a whopping four times. And, believe it or not, two of those times he used a bowl of miso soup to do it! Unsurprisingly, his story’s pretty crazy. So, stick around to find out why no jail could hold this incredible escape artist.
