A listener and longtime friend sent me an email and I'll read it to

Under the subject line word police it said

My daughter is a lifeguard and took a next level class his daughter's in high school to become an instructor. She can now teach and certify new lifeguards. During the class, the students, all of whom were adults other than his daughter, were reprimanded repeatedly that they were not every time they use

a term drowning victim or victim of any kind.

Apparently the word is, quote, dangerously triggering to some people, end quote,

and must be substituted with the woke friendly term, quote, drowning person.

Note that

was taught as the preferred term only one year ago.

Other harmless phrases were also put on the chopping block, but that one stood out to me as pure insanity, so I thought I'd share it with you.

The good news, he says, is that if someone were to go into shock,

upon hearing the vile pejorative victim,

my kid could effectively administer life-saving first aid

to the triggered victim.

Now, it's just an email from a dad, grumpy old dad like me, aggravated at the nonsense of his daughter's lifeguard

in structure glass or is it or does it reflect a bigger problem?

A problem we see throughout.

And I want to say this in as clearer terms I possibly can.

There are many people, liberals, progressives, you know the type, who are

mentally unstable. Now, just because I disagree with someone politically, I don't refer to them as

mentally unstable. I don't do that to diminish my opponent. I refer to people as being

mentally unstable when I believe they are mentally unstable.
