Let's jump back in with Pastor J.D. in Ephesians chapter 5, verse 31.

Therefore, Paul says, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife,

and the two shall become one flesh.

This mystery of marriage is profound, because I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.

Paul in these two verses explains to us that marriage was given to us, not as an end in itself, it was given to us as a sign of a higher

reality, and that is, according to Paul, Christ's relationship to his church. So here's number one,
