And gentlemen, I have to start this segment by telling you I screwed up.

Every weekend, I take a 48-hour news sabbatical.

And when you spend your work week like I do, almost drowning in a swamp of bad news,

a little break, you know, clear your lungs, remove the accumulated leeches from the swamp,

all that stuff. But my wife was out of town. I had nobody to talk to other than, you know,

teenage boys. And I thought, yeah, little news won't hurt. And then, of course, it turned out this was the weekend that Rob Ryder and his wife were murdered likely by their own son with the history of drug problems. Two dead and nine injured at Brown University and another shooting. That suspect is still in the loose. So, you know, maybe Islamic terror, maybe a little left-wing crazy, we don't know yet.

And two Muslim terrorists, of course, murdered at least 15 Jews at Australia's Bondi Beach on the first night of Hanukkah.

It's just a terrible, terrible weekend of news.

And then to top it off, and this might sound like a joke, but it really isn't.

Andy Circus, it turns out, has remade animal farm as a cute, friendly animal adventure where the bad guy is a billionaire loosely based on Elon Musk.

So just the level of stupid and awful is way above my tolerance level right now.

But I am finding ways to stay in good cheer.

Bill, how do you do it when so many people are at risk of, you know, crazies, criminals, and

terrorists?

Well, up until a few minutes ago, I spent a lot of time reminding myself how much I liked

Andrew Circus movies and everything he did.
