I view this as a one year deal, but the most likely outcome is he'll be there for two years

just because he's going to be signing for

$26 million coming off a tourney ACL for one year. To me, that doesn't make too much sense. I think

the most likely is going to be treated as a two-year deal and he won't see the $69 million.

It sounds like a lot of money. It is a lot of money. But what else are the Patriots supposed to do? They have $77 million right now.

There's nobody else to really sign here. You need to bring somebody in that could help Drake

May out. And I think that's going to be totally okay. And this is also just like points to the discussion.

Once a player actually hits free agency and they're like no longer on their their current team,

they make a lot more money than the players that are going to be signing with their own team.

So compared to Jalen Waddle and DeMonte Smith,

like that's a totally different discussion.

Once you actually have something that's hit true free agency,

the dollar just go way up.
