Speaking of the City of Houston election, there will be a mayoral debate tonight at 9

PM on Fox 26.

So I guess instead of their local news, they will be hosting the mayoral debate.

I don't know if it's on all the stations and I just happen to see on Fox that they

were carrying it at 9 or if they have, if they are the host of the debate.

But I do know that it's on Fox 26 tonight at 9 o'clock.

And I don't know how many televised debates there will end up being.

My suspicion is they will not get a huge audience for that because there's not a great

deal of interest for that.

Number of people have reached out said, Hey, we're being told as Republicans to vote for

John Whitmer because he would be better than than Sheila Jackson Lee.

But he's a Democrat, even if a more conservative Democrat than the other Democrats.

I would say that's probably the consensus.

There are other candidates in the race.

The polling is pretty clear.

Whitmer is the only candidate with a chance to beat Sheila Jackson Lee and Whitmer can beat

Sheila Jackson Lee.

But he has to have an interesting coalition of Republicans showing up to vote.

It doesn't matter how many Republicans will support you if they don't show up to vote.

You actually look at the numbers in the city of Houston at how few Republicans vote that

will then vote for in presidential elections.
