When you do three hundred and forty episodes, you go through different rhythms,

just like life, through rhythms of life, rhythms and seasons. Anyways, we are wrapping up with day

seven of our waiting here for you in Advent Journey of Hope devotional from the Bible app. I am going

to read the scripture and then Tori is going to read the Devo. There are two scriptures and the

first one is James four, verse six, and he gives grace generously. As the scriptures say,

God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. And the next scripture is first Peter five,

verses five, six and seven. In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the

elders and all of you dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another for God opposes

the proud but gives grace to the humble. So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God.

And at the right time, he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God

for he cares about you. I love that verse. The devotional today is titled humility looks

good on everyone. It says, Jesus is the king of kings yet he arrived as a humble servant.

Humility is not thinking you are less. It is never forgetting the fact that it is Jesus who made you

more. So how do you become like Jesus? How do you develop a spirit of humility? Humility is a

byproduct of being with Jesus. Anyone who walks intimately with him will not think more highly
