going on with the efforts to close writers.

Before we jump into this episode, I'd just like to remind you that you are smart and capable

enough to know about all of the policy conversations happening, about all of the legislation that

one of the ways that people in power continue to hold their power is by convincing you that

you can't understand this, that they are the only people who understand the complexity

of the system, or the only people who truly understand policy.

And that's just not true.

It's one of the reasons why I started the podcast, because I wanted to have these conversations

that would allow people in to a different type of conversation about policy and its impact

than otherwise you might have access to.

But know that if people haven't made it accessible, that that's often either a choice, or they

just don't understand that that needs to be a part of their work, but you can make them.

This is yours, and part of your power is understanding that and claiming it.
