Well, hello, my friends, and welcome to the Live Inspired podcast Monday morning moments with John O'Leary.

In June of 2021, I flew from St. Louis, Missouri out to Los Angeles, California, and interviewed a Hollywood director.

No sound was recorded, no video was captured, no notes were taken.

But what he shared, the way he shared it, and what happened because of it,

positively changed my life. Let me explain. Four years earlier back in 2017, a new friend of

ours had asked for the right to turn my life story into a movie. Knowing how unlikely the

project was to become a reality, I gave Linda

Huntington permission while personally remaining a little unsure if the project would actually

advance forward. Eventually, funds were raised, connections were made, and a beautiful script was

written.

This script moved celebrated film director, his name, Sean McNamara, so deeply that he requested to direct the film.

Once a director is attached to a project, my friends, what happens next is funs start flowing in, actors start getting involved, and things start moving quickly, knowing very little about the movie industry.

I knew that if I was going to turn a deeply personal story about our family into a movie for other families around the world to see,

I better understand what motivated Sean McNair to engage with this film.

So, we met at a coffee shop near his home in Los Angeles and were surprised by the numerous

similarities in both of our lives. He and I both come from large, fun-loving Irish Catholic families.

He and I were both raised by parents who were wild about their spouse,

doted on their children, and encouraged each child to dream big and stay humble.

Sean and I shared the mighty struggle of both having our dads diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. And we shared a passionate joy for our

children, a love of baseball, and a passion for life. So when asking Sean how he chose some film

projects while pass it on others, he shared that he savors opportunities to turn true stories
