Have you ever spent a morning and afternoon, an hour, a stroll outdoors, thinking about destiny or fate, or how the stars just align for some people and they get that major success that

they want and it just seems divinely ordained and perfect and oh to be them, right?

Well, I would like to offer another perspective on this, especially after 12 years now,

working for myself full time and coaching people in very different areas of their lives.

I'm here to tell you that destiny and fate aren't destiny and fate at all.

They are your persistence. Right, think about this.

Imagine there are two actors, two authors, two entrepreneurs, say they start one year on something.

In the beginning, they look the same. They might have similar resources. They might

have similar access to opportunities, which might be limited at an early stage. One gets rejected a

couple of times, gets disillusioned and stops. The other treats rejection or setbacks as the weather,

something that's constantly changing,

and they do not stop. Two years, three years, four years, five years.

When someone's persistent, when they remain consistent in what it is that they're doing, the person who didn't give up, who showed up even though there was no applause, even though there was no guaranteed

success, there never is, they kept showing up, we say, wow, look at that, destiny, fate,

someone like Taylor Swift, someone like name your favorite author, name your favorite celebrity, name your number one creator of some kind.

It's not because the stars were shining down on them, although I do believe there is universal

support. It's your commitment to your

art, to your work, to your contribution. A graveyard is full of wasted potential, people who

gave up too soon, who are frankly weaker willed when it comes to being able to deal with uncomfortable or unwanted
