While the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act passed in 2020 with bipartisan support, the implementation of a new three-digit crisis hotline went live just last month. Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA) is one of the cosponsors of the bill, which has created the 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline; one universal number for people to dial to get help during a mental health crisis.
