Generative AI is expected to add billions of dollars to the global economy, and within the world of beauty,

Gen. I.I.I. could add 9 to 10 billion dollars as companies use AI to help consumers try on make up from home.

Our next guest is someone who is well ahead of that curve.

She founded a company 10 years ago that is doing just that.

She is Alice Chang, the founder and CEO of the Perfect Core. Alice, thank you so much

for being here. Thank you. My pleasure to be here.

So you are celebrating 10 years of the Perfect Core, which uses AI to help consumers try

on makeup at home. And I think if you would ask me in 2015 if this was a thing, I wouldn't

have said yes. How did you have this vision and how did you know this is where technology would be going?

I think technology, I always came from a technology background, but I always believe technology

has no value unless it can solve the user pinpoint.

This is my second startup, My first started company already listed in

Taiwan Stock Exchange for over 20 years. We developed AR 20 years ago, but that was not the right

timing, the whole ecosystem is not ready and until 2015 because the

smartphone is getting stronger the CPU GPU new GPU new CPU in a smartphone

make the smartphone more computation power than before and for software like using AIAR, we need to consume a lot of computation power.

So that was the time I think, yes, the smartphone ecosystem is ready for AIAR.

And that was the year, if you still remember, that was the year if you still remember that was the year iPhone

first time make the front camera as default and that's the possible selfie

come to the world and everybody take start taking photo easier with front

camera and I say everybody wants to look pretty in the photo, in the camera.
