This is the story of Anne Hamilton Burn andne and her sinister cult, the family.

Anne Hamilton Byrne was actually born Evelyn Grace Victoria Edwards on December 30th, 1921, to her parents, Florence, and Ralph.

She was the oldest of seven children and grew up in the small rural farming town of sale outside Melbourne. So this is actually the first case from Australia that I believe that we

are covering on the case. Her childhood was

dysfunctional to say the least. Her father was pretty absent a majority of the time. He would just

come and go from his children's lives whenever it was most convenient for him. And when he would

come back into his children's lives, he would usually just stay long

enough to impregnate his wife and then leave again. Her mother, Florence, was a diagnosed

paranoid schizophrenic and a self-proclaimed medium who believed that she could talk to the dead.

And when the voices in her head got too much, Florence would often spiral,

sometimes even in public. There was one day when she stepped out into the street and set her hair on fire.
