Welcome to Let It Be Easy with Susie Moore.

Okay my friend, so I'm kind of obsessed with this show that I found, I think it's on Netflix, but it's evolved from a podcast, and the show is called Song Exploder.

Maybe you know it, maybe it's a podcast you listen to, maybe you're watching the same show as me. But what I love about this show is essentially the host speaks to musicians and they break down how they created their songs,

how they created the music, how they created the lyrics, the team that's involved, how it just all came to be and how it came together.

I'm obsessed with people's different creative processes.

I feel like when we're connecting and really tapping into our creativity,

we're actually at our highest and best version of ourselves

because the creativity that exists within us, it belongs to us, right? It's unique, nobody else can do it.

To me it's when I feel most connected with God and the universe in this place of creativity.

And the three episodes I watched so far were The Killers,

breaking down one of their huge songs.

Do Alipa breaking down one of her huge songs,

and Ariam. And Ariam... breaking down one of her huge songs and R. E. M.

and R. E. M. broke down the song

losing my religion, which is of course an extremely well-known song.

I think it was a big chart topper for many years. I think probably most people know this song even though it's a little older now.

And gosh I love listening to the band there are four members of the band R.E.

You probably already knew that.

But I love how this song came to be.

Right, they were like, you can't have a song with a mandolin as the main instrument that's what

their record label told them they said do not release this song first from this album

but they trusted it they just felt that it was right somehow and this is this my friend is why you need to always trust your instincts.
