Welcome to the 3028 show about theme park history and pop culture history. I'm Ed Parrish and I'm Kevin Quigley.

Kevin, every once in a while we like to pop in here. Oh wait, first it's a brand new year. How about that?

Oh my god it's 2022. 2022 brand new me brand new you.

New year, good new you. Kevin, we're closing out season five we're kicking off 2022. Did 2021 go exactly how you thought it would?

2022, 2021 was supposed to be the year that everything changed. Everything was great and in mid-June I kind of thought it was happening. Then it wasn't.

And then in some ways 2021 was worse than 2020.

I know. And I think it was about expectations. Yeah, right? Yeah, because after 2020 we're like, okay, that's the worst of it. We've gone through the worst.

And now we can now we can rest easy. Now things are going to obviously get back to normal and they did not.

They did not get back to normal, Kevin. They they they were it was like up and down all year long. My moods were up and down.

Listenership was up and down here on the 3028 even air color was up and down. It was. We got a trampoline and the kids were bouncing up and down.

All kinds of things were going up and down in 2021. But we are thankful to be here in 2022 to bring you this show. And this Kevin this goes back to some of the stuff we really did like on the very early days of the 3028 when the show was still kind of finding its identity.

Pocket history. Oh, yes. Yeah, we used to do this type of thing all the time pocket history. This sort of feels to me like to get back documentary where you know they were like, hey, we're going to we're going to do our like early stuff.

We're going to just do hardcore just regular rock and roll. We're not going to do any studio tricks. And that's sort of what this feels like.

You know before we discovered Alpinism and goats. We we and Tiki. We we did all these pocket histories all the time and you know we talked about lands and things and you know the thing about the 3028 is and it's

a simple concept and not to get you know to show about the show. But it can go backward. It can go forward and it can still seem fresh because there's so many things to discover so many new things are always happening and so many old things are being discovered.

So you know there's endless possibilities for shows like this. Yeah, we really like to look back on the show. It is a history show. We like to do contemporary stuff too.

We're going to do that on this episode and it's going to be a lot of fun. There's Disneyland stuff while Disney World stuff magic kingdom specifically. But before we get there, we want to tell you about our friends over at privacy pros. I know Kevin and I are both well we we are people who are online, we're on social media.

And then every once in a while something happens and we're like I don't like how this is going.
