The The He. He really envisioned something that would be a hybrid of a film presentation and a concert.

Something brand new that didn't exist before.

It was presented as what they used to call a road show attraction.

Tell us what are the principal technical advances in the animated cartoon since the time of Fantasia?

That are drawing.

The first thing I did when I got a little money to experiment, I put all my

artists back in school. Art schools that existed then didn't quite have enough for what we needed.

So we set up our own art school. Welcome to the 3028 a show about Disney history and Disney Listery. I'm Matt Parish. And I'm Kevin Quigley.

You know what I love about recording this show

it's that we get to do a bit of time traveling

from time to time

and not only do you and I get to do it

but we get to bring the listeners along with us.

Yeah, yeah, it's like we're on spaceship Earth and our time vehicle is rotating slowly backwards,

except it's going much quicker because the speed of

podcasts is the speed of sound. What am I talking about? But no it is like you

know we can we've dedicated an entire episode to Horizons.

We've done, you know, shows and uh, in Listeries about like defunct things that aren't there anymore.

And we can go back in time and sort of talk about them as if they're the present. So it's really exciting and fun.

It is fun. What's cool about a company like Disney is a lot of its history is recorded and that has really been true

throughout our Disney on the One series.
