And on the future, share a dream together, go round the world with a voice from every country, a place from every land, and celebrate the future, and in pain, and celebrate the future.

And in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain, and in pain.

Welcome to the 3028, a show about theme park history and pop culture history. I'm Matt Parrish, and I'm Kevin Quigley. Kevin, on this episode of the 3028, we're going back to the first season, history, history, and news.

1:45.0

Oh boy, and news. We thought we were going to be so contemporary.

1:49.0

News with a Z. We did the 1550 or whatever it was. We had 15 minutes of news. It was great. We never, we decided that we realized halfway through the first season that news was untenable, because we just, we didn't have the time, and we wanted to do deep dives into history, and we loved our research, and doing news just felt, you know, every time we did a news show by the time it came out, it was like old news.

2:18.0

You have to put it out like in five seconds, or it's, you know, Twitter is going to beat you to the punch on news 100% of the time. So that was definitely true, even back in 2017. But Kevin, what's interesting is you and I started recording together doing news.

2:35.0

So I thought that this was kind of really funny that here we are back on season seven 3028 show episode 280 something, and we're talking about the destination D23 event that just happened down in Walt Disney World. And so most of this is like topical stuff that happened in the last week.

2:52.0

Yeah, this is interesting, because we recovered, we've covered like D23 events and fan events from Disney before, and it's funny to go back and like look at the things we covered that were like, oh, this is definitely going to happen.

3:04.0

I still remember my funniest memory is before you and I recorded when you and they bear for recording, and you did not know how to pronounce mawana.

3:14.0

Oh, it makes me happy. Mona, Mona, there was a Mona at the ice cream place the other day, and I was like, hey, Mona, I was like, great name. And she was totally ignored me.

3:26.0

I just wanted to talk to her about Mona on who's the boss, but she wasn't buying. Did you ask her if she was the boss?

3:33.0

No, I didn't, but we know Mona was the boss. It was not Judith Light. It was not Tony Danza.

3:38.0

But yeah, so Mona, when you don't know what something's going to be, I don't think, does Mawana, does it have like a hyphen in it or anything?

3:45.0

Like, I don't know why we said Mona.

3:47.0

I know, it was just the funniest thing, because for some reason I already knew how it was pronounced, and you were puzzled beyond Blake.

3:53.0

You're like, I think it's called Mona. I don't know.

3:56.0

It's a red-aired old lady.

3:58.0

And it's from Pixar. Oh, no, wait, it's not. Anyway, Kevin, we are back here. It is not the Mona show.

4:04.0

It's the 23, all things 23 show, 2023, D23, 30, 28, 23, it's the number 23.

4:13.0

It's Jim Carrey's movie.

4:15.0

We're going to call Michael Jordan. We're going to bend it like Beckham.
